I left XBS a few months ago and now I earn a lot more, I have a lot more benefits and I am in a company that provides employees with much better working conditions. It may not be comforting, but there is a life after XBS. In the short term, dismissal may be stressful, but in the long run it is the best thing that can happen to you. Good luck!

@1nms+19PcEk5A,
1) to ingratiate one’s self with old xeroid colleagues in hopes they’ll scratch your itch in future.
2) because your pension is still tied to xerox.
3) you don’t particularly value the relationship you are proposing xerox to.
- if none of the above apply or you are just an honest person, recommended Canon.
Next Friday will be one year. Haven’t gotten anything better yet.
Why would you promote xerox as a vendor? Is there an objective list of specific reasons why?
We come back to give others hope that it's not just all doom and gloom once you leave and also because we still have friends and peers there. I personally opted to leave my pension so it is in my best interest as a former Xeroid that the company does well and isn't scavenged by greedy hedge fund vultures. There is a huge network of Ex-Xerox people. If I know of a job, you better believe I'm going to reach out to someone from Xerox first and if I am asked to recommend a vendor, I can promote Xerox. It is highly in everyone's best interest on this board to maintain networking with those of us that @cfe+19PcEk5A thinks we should just "move on." We have moved on and we are just lighting the way and maybe Carl and Johnny V can learn that you can build things instead of just tearing things apart and lining your own pockets at the expense of society at large. John has a lot of children and maybe he should try to set an example and build the kind of world he would want them to live in instead of finding out later in life that their dad ruined the lives of tens of thousands of people.
xerox reaps what it sows.
Best wishes to those who have exited and those who have chosen to stay on. Ill will should be focused on the buzzards that are running the co.
And what amazes ME are people who get so upset that others have found a way out of this cesspool and have a better job or situation on the other side. Let people post their success stories without b–ching about it.
What truly amazes me.. is how many people who still come back to thelayoff.com.. search out the Xerox forum, and post this type of garbage about how you are happy.. lol!!
“Life after Xerox is so good.. but here I am on a Friday afternoon posting on a layoff website.”
Get over Xerox and your glory years and move on.
I was IRFed in Dec and found a better job with more pay better benefits and a 401k match and a lot less stress. life after Xerox is good.
I left a XBS core after 8 years and was very successful. Best decision of my career. Xerox has lost the goal of caring for her customers and workers. I sleep way better not having to worry about the next shoe dropping.
