Does Southwestern rehire employees who were laid off before?
This does not affect me, but I was curious in general. We’ve lost some of our best employees in the past several layoffs rounds so I was wondering if they would be taken back if the opportunity presented itself? Even if the pay was lower?

Someone else’s post, but this is an issue that interests me as well. I agree that it is not a good idea, but if it were offered to me, I would gladly accept it, since I have not yet found a new job. If someone came back, I would like to know what are their experiences like?

Here at Flywheel once laid off always laid off. Is Southwest hiring? I miss the good ol days of nice company trucks and LTI. Hated Tiwi though. Wish Steve was the CEO. He was smart.
I was fired in Pa and rehired on the rig. They was needing rig hands and I was holed up at the double wide with the misses who I couldn’t stand to watch eat three buckets of cluckers chicken a day. Had to get back ta work.
Never say never...
Laid off in ‘16, traveled the world and stayed in youth hostels. Forgot all I know about oil and gas. Rehired in ‘19 and laid off again three weeks ago. It was a good run. This new administration will get everyone everything they need to live with basic needs. Don’t worry. I’m not.
Laid off 2018. Hired back in 2019. Still here!!
Me. Laid off in 17. Hired back 7 months later. A total 7 month sabbatical. Lived life traveled and spent time with kids like never before so best thing that happened career wise. Severance covered the time off so no big deal. Since I have been back fat stack of bonuses/raises and promoted. They know better this time which is why I will never be laid off again.
