Job eliminated - 30+ year EE, severance package is under CVS structure. Appealing the severance package.
Does anyone know if I will still get severance while the appeal is in process? CVS TAT on appeal is noted at 90 days!

From what I heard from people that got laid off from Aetna/cvs in March 2021 in IT in Connecticut CVS changed the severance package before the lay offs. It was 1 week for every year they were employed but CVS changed it “by their job description” this way they would not have to pay out so much to the employees. In the long run these employees only got 13 WEEKS severance instead of the 1 week per year. The worse part is most of the employees were there between 30-40 years. That is a slap in the face to those dedicated employees. I won’t walk into a cvs store or support them in any way!
18 of us were job eliminated last week.. the 98% majority were moms who were also home schooling last year. I have worked there 9 years. How do I appeal the severance package? Which is paltry.
They do not have to pay you anything (At will company). You are wasting your time.
Don’t let them plead poverty. Some dimwit at CVS sent $500000 to a Racist Right Wing Dark Money PAC. If they have money for that stuff, they have plenty to pay you. Be assertive.
There was a Learn Source and you were told to enter an X at the end. That X electronically signed a detailed arbitration agreement. There really are no appeals. Everything has to be arbitrated. However, I think that this was adopted sometime after the merger. The Aetna arbitration was different. Remember that they had record profits during the pandemic. Where did all of that money go?
the severance chart is set up in tiers–based on your job grade. I feel in tier 1 with 30 years..and only received 13 weeks
I was happy when my job was eliminated before CVS. Glad I'm not in the CVS boat
Been wondering where the severance chart went and if there would be any changes. How many weeks were you given under the new package?
