Singapore layoffs

I'm curious, what kind of severance do people who work in other countries get? Is it the same as here or is it a completely different system? Is there anybody from Singapore who was affected in the past few days who wouldn't mind sharing the details of their package?

In Singapore, if the employee is “fortunate “ is qualifies as retrenched, for every years of service, it’s one month severance pay up to a maximum of 25 months. The other good point is, it’s income tax exempted. Otherwise, one will receive 3 months pay in lieu as a “NSI” and accept to “resign”. If one opt for PIP and “forced” to leave at the end of it, he gets nothing extra. All this taxable.

How is it handled in the US?
