My old club always had meetings but all leads there wanted to grow. New club doesn’t know what a meeting is. Doesn’t take time to hold leads accountable when they do nothing and sh–s on leads that carry the weight.
team lead meetings are pointless. leads know what they need to do. if something special comes up, a manager can pass on instruction. most meetings are an inconvenience to those that need to get things done. they're great for those that want to get out of work. so they come in and ramble on about this that, what they're doing in their departments, just so they don't have to go back to work. they love hearing themselves talk.
That isn't a corporate thing. That's a club thing because we do not have those. Ever. That would mean someone else must run the floor.
Hell we get yelled at and threatened coachings if during crossover at 1pm we are seen "congregating" and "chatting". When all we are trying to do is communicate wtf is going on. Where we are for the day, where our people are. What we accomplished and what still needs done. Etc. So yea....
But I agree, should not be having group meetings in small areas. That is why everything went to zoom meetings. Maybe suggest zoom instead??
There are clubs out there that actually have time for meetings?
If all managers get Covid. Maybe they will close the club for 10 days and we can all have a break 🤔
Please remember they don’t care.
Five times in the last year? Consider yourself lucky... I've been a lead for six years we have never had a meeting.
That's sweet, that you actually think they care.
At least someone in your club cares enough about communication to have lead meetings. It's clubs out here that have only met less than 5 times in the past year
