Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Let’s have fun: which ELT member is next to go?

With MF leaving, who’s next to go?

It probably doesn’t matter; besides consuming precious company resources they do NOTHING for the company.

She’s the wrinkliest and has an odor. But she’s rich!

Who’s the “thank you” card lady?

I believe that RL will be retiring within a few years (or sooner)...........the whole Concho purchase (screw over COP employees) deal made him a s*** ton of money, so why would he stay around - just saying.

But if The “writing a thank you note” lady leaves, then who takes her place. The soulless HR czar who married her boss?

It’s way past her expiration date. Go home already and write another thank you card.

Isn’t it about time for sanctimonious to go?

He may be intelligent but that’s not in short supply at COP. Leadership itself is a scarce commodity as well as ethics and courage.

MF is extremely intelligent. He has a better grasp on economics than anyone on the ELT. Having accumulated more wealth than he can spend in his lifetime, he is on to a retirement that many can only dream of. Nobody no matter how rich can buy more time. The smartest people recognize when their stockpile is more than big enough.

I was at Surmont for 5 years and it was amazing how many did nothing. Walked around from meeting to meeting then say something management loves to here. 10 care cards today. Smoke and mirrors. Pay was great but the toxic environment made me leave.
