WellCare (Legacy) Program Coordinator Supervisors - The Laziest Supervisors Ever Known To Man

The WellCare (Legacy) Program Coordinator Supervisors are the laziest supervisors I have ever seen in my 20 years in the workforce. In the beginning of the COVID pandemic these lazy supervisors were forcing every employee to work from home claiming the buildings will close down...when they knowingly knew it would not. They did this in hopes that they would be only supervisors in the office. This way they could continue there lazy ways. When that didn't work they decided it didn't matter anyways. In the first month , 3 of these supervisors were playing race cars games in the conference room. They did this for say 2 to 3 months before it stopped. So obviously a higher up noticed and instead of writing them up or firing them they covered up for all of them. Totally inexcusable. Then they all resorted to taking 2 hour lunch breaks (1 hour to go to the gym and 1 hour to eat at there desk while listening to music on you tube. In addition there is one supervisor who is a total slouch who has to get his two 15 minute walks so he can mingle with the lady supervisors. His line is "Its time for a walk". Also during the day there constantly hovering near each other laughing and talking other stuff that has nothing to do with work. Now the latest thing so these goof offs can abuse company time is to play BINGO. Yep you got the right BINGO. This is done all over skype and the link to the BINGO card is sent to there company email address. These supervisors habitually waste company time doing nothing and there is no accountability by either the manager or director.

Now I know coworkers personally who were laid off from this department who worked harder then 3 to 4 of the supervisors combined and were exceeding metrics. It just amazes me to think that is entry level co-workers work so hard are never appreciated can be laid off while these egotistical supervisors think there above the rest and can get away with doing nothing . These supervisors are a waste of company resources.

It is totally shocking that the director is knowingly not doing anything to see that these supervisors pitch in and help there employees and join them in there struggle to finish there daily workload because in some cases you can only finish the if you're a robot. I know for a fact I would appreciate a supervisor for pitching in to help rather then goofing off and laughing all day.

Totally upsetting to see all of this going on and nobody being held accountable. I know if I did all of the above I would be fired in a heartbeat. Since they are supervisors I guess they get a free pass. Like the saying goes "Different strokes for different folks" This is the first company where you can see crystal clear the corruption going on in the workplace.

This is just how it is with Centene so just do your best to keep your job and hope Centene will eventually come around and fix everything so everyone is working equally hard. That is my hope for the last 2 to 3 years and hopefully it will happen.

I agree. If you report it. You will be saving your seat for the next round of layoffs. HR isn’t for the people.

Please look for a new position. Don’t accept this. The org is corrupt, you’re right. Don’t allow yourself to be used. And please don’t stick around hoping it will change (that doesn’t usually happen because the people who created the system are benefitting from the status quo). Talk to HR and you’ll put a target on your back. You can change it by leaving and finding a better place.

Not that I hold much trust in HR, but have you voiced your concerns to them? Or reported this via the compliance line (anonymously if you want)? Unfortunately most of us know what you say is true but can’t do anything about it. Shedding light on yet another example of this sh*tty company is one step but I think you should report it, if you haven’t - more may be done and hopefully these lazy _as people are in the next round of layoffs.
