Does anybody think there will be store closings soon? It seems like there is light at the end of the tunnel in terms of the pandemic. Perhaps Follett can weather this storm but I wonder what are the ramifications of this horrible fiscal year?

Yes, it requires a lot to close a store. There is a lot that goes into it: contract discussions, plans for the merchandise, getting rid of fixtures/computers/supplies (ie everything in the store that you don't actually sell), etc. It takes a lot of time, effort, and money to close a store. It's not just going to happen willy-nilly. You don't just show up to work one day and the store is empty and the doors are locked.
I cant imagine a store just closing without adequate notice to the school. Each store has a contract, if Follett breaks it I would guess there would be lawsuits.
Some stores might. But stores are constantly opening and closing. I hope people realize this.
Could see a lot more of the smaller stores being shifted virtual as contracts expire.
