This company has never been particularly transparent, but is it possible that in these crazy times they are not able to come out with information on whether layoffs are in progress or not? I’m worried enough even without it, especially when someone spreads the rumor that silent dismissals are in progress. This lack of transparency is humiliating.

Daddy purchases sons company. Could it be more transparent?
They can't be transparent, because then managers wouldn't have a role to play. 90% of the managers at this company can't do the jobs they manage. Keeping what little information they do have closely guarded is the only way they will stay employed.
