I was wondering who and how layoffs are determined. I’m assuming VP finds out from HR the amount of layoffs in the department and informs director, then director get with supervisors and decide, I’m not sure but I know I was laid off based on personal dislike and not my work ethics.

Yet MFN and Sr managers made millions!!!
They’re all tied in on decision making. They give false hope that you’re safe, then act all solemn when they give you the news. They’re all *ssholes and don’t care (especially the HR crew) as the knife goes in your back. Wanna feel like a number? Work for this company. So glad to be gone and with an organization that cares more about their people than $$$. How the hell the CEO lives with himself baffles me...
Your manager's manager decided. Simple as that.
