What these high as a kite smokers talking about? Identify yourself or company that Honeywell just took over, please? These must be “manager type “ future shapers
1000 shares? Yeah I'd hang.
10 or 20 no effing way.
Anyway to keep people around a terrible company....you must be on Madsen's nice list. Not really a good place to be since most are uncapable of leading or accomplishing anything, just like his leadership team.
Who cares, the F'ers dumped me
I believe the principal is taxed as ordinary income while any gains would be taxed at the lower capital gains. According to some of the research I've done, hon stock is expected to top at $215 a share assuming best case scenario (and please do not take my word for it, research it). It seems to me you could beat that rate of return if you were just compensated normally. Also, what happens if they lay you off in a year? You also lose your 401k because that also doesn't vest but yearly.
Well aren't you all special with your double secret RSU's.
I hope you choke on them.
Restricted Stock Units/Grants, typically 3 years. Yep. 3 years is a long time. I did the grind as they gave me a good amount :-) As soon as the grants mature, I bailed. Weigh your options though
They just told you how valuable you are. Start job hunting with that award letter in your hand. New employer will cover it. Everyone is happy.
I dumped mine. 20k lost and 50k in salary gained over the same time.
Maybe and maybe not - depends on the stock's performance. I wouldn't do it, though. 3 years is a long time to be miserable and you can try to negotiate a bonus with a new company that will take the place of stock. HON has given retention bonuses to try to keep key employees. It's just not discussed.
What are RSU’s?
