Centene does do layoffs in the summer. I was part of hundreds that were laid off last June and July. Just like all the other comments the employees affected were longtime historical staff with knowledge and probably slightly higher pay. Leaving behind lower paid staff just hired with no knowledge, experience and less pay. You cannot trust anything “leadership or HR” says!

People who are granted power and evil create issues. They work long hours and despise those that have work life balance. They are paid a handsome salary and bonus to do whatever is necessary to run the business. Fear is often the tactic used since it requires very little management skill. And the worst part are company wide meetings that stress the importance of culture.
Sociopath is a common word to describe this attitude. They would call it proper management.

Like ever. I’ve also been reading other threads, Anthem, OPtum etc... these people are sharing the same type of stories.
