Exxon is no longer a company people want to stay working for very long. The pay is decent but the claim to pay better than everyone else is a facade. The benefits are no more attractive than other operators. A long term career and no layoffs seem to be what attracted many. It was a false sense of security. Time to get over it and find something better. The pay is not worth the stress or bad environment.

The hard part is not applying, it’s getting an offer and pulling the trigger while not looking back.

#alreadyleft don’t get discouraged, I can assure you having xom on your resume and being top bucket ranked doesn’t distinguish you as much as you think it would in the market.

It was interesting for me. Took me a while to decide to submit the first application. After that it was easy. You just have to make up your mind to improve your situation and act.
