I was just waiting for my manager to tell me “just be glad you have a job”. Well guess what, he actually had the nerve to say that to me when we were having a disagreement over something he wanted me to do that went against my work ethics. I was actually wondering when that whole “be glad” spiel will start making its rounds for those who survived the layoffs. And here we are…

Lot of VPs at WellCare have this attitude. Particularly the one in Analytics team who will repeatedly point out that you are highly paid and doesn't care you deliver a high quality work.
There are many inadequate Managers and above at this company. And, they have always been very top heavy here. They should be the ones white knuckling it at their desks trying not to get laid off. That Manager sounds like he fits into that category.
Integrity is just a word, survival is easier without it.
