We're three days away from the departure of our recently-synergized colleagues, and I feel like I'm staring down the barrel of a gun with the unavoidable workload coming my way. My leadership is totally incompetent, and the people who have buoyed these incompetent leaders are all getting the boot. The result: I'm wearing 5+ different hats right now, and spread so thin that I cannot really be effective at any of them.
Who else is feeling the pressure of the impending departures on Thursday? What will you do? All of the consternation about change management really feels like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
