Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Ane chance we'll be acquired?

That might be the only way for us to get some decent leadership. Then again - when I think about it - whoever bet on this mess might not be as smart as I hope they would be.

I still wouldn't mind, though. I don't see a way for things to get much worse than they already are.

The EA channel is responsible for about 85% of new business. Allstate has been a failure in the direct channel for some time now. When they get rid of the agents it will be open season on the existing Allstate Book of Business. The Wolf is waiting to pounce on Allstate!

Actually India is doing CCC compliance. Has been for over a year now.

American Allstaters are already beneath Allstate India. They are hiring their own directors.

This company is already done.

AET/accounting and claims moving to India, the layoffs, and no longer reviewing accuracy/compliance. Maybe they are just trying to cut cost on paper to sell.

There have been rumors and word on this site and other business sites that 2025 is the target time to sell off Allstate or merge with another carrier. Sunsetting the exclusive agency is a big part of any acquisition as it is not desired to be part of any purchase or acquiring.

However as fast as Tom and Glenn are driving this company towards the cliff will there be anything left to sell or acquire? I have never seen business executives make such stupid and damning decisions and processes to try and fix their prior stupid mistakes. Truly stupid ignorant beings.
