For the life of me I can't understand how there're still colleagues of mine who think they're safe from layoffs. Come on, rally? Nobody is safe here, unless you’re part of the executive leadership. Last year I saw coworkers with valuable experience given their walking papers and I’ve seen those with less than a year given the boot. I’ve seen our best and our worst kicked to the curb. Seagate does NOT discriminate during the hunting season. Everyone should know by now that we each have a reserved spot in the unemployment lines.

I am Safe !
Funny when you quit, Seagate doesn't ask you for a severance package. Since you quit 3 years into your job, please pay Seagate 2 weeks of pay x 3 years. Remember no one is safe at any company. Gain experience, keep your resume and networking up and most importantly always look out for yourself. If you think Seagate cares or a company owes you something, you're wrong. What they owe you is your paycheck, no more no less. Don't need your talents anymore, they let you go. You don't need their check anymore, you retire or get money from another company.
