I’ve been doing it for years and I’ll keep on doing it until I find a better position elsewhere. I’m not going to let this company get the best of me - no one should. I learned a long time ago that upper management talks a good game when it comes to advancing your career but all those words are just smoke and mirrors. So I stopped giving it my all and started doing only what’s expected. No more, no less. Use Gulfstream as much as they use us.

Gulfstream management sure knows how to k–l morale and work ethic for hard-working conscientious employees. They only promote women, blacks or what they refer to as “allies”. A deeply Rotten company.
I’ve been in GAC engineering for a very long time. It used to be a great company, but is now horrible. The current Management is an ugly regime of lying conniving fakes. RUN RUN RUN!!
Exactly. I started doing the same thing, because why work hard and then get let go? In the May 2020 layoffs the overachiever in our dept who wanted to make things better pushed mgmt too much for improvement, so he was let go. Salary job and he put in a lot of OT for them to can him anyway. Stay average, go unnoticed, and you'll be off the lay off list. Easy money earned too.
When’s the next rif
Thats a great way to stay current in your area of expertise. Also seems like a great way build great work habits that are desirable in the market.
Just make sure you’re kissing the correct a–(es) or you’ll be on the next RIF list. Why not just leave and go somewhere you’ll be happy?
Good on you?
