Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Layoff's as part of Project Conway

Hot off the presses!!

There would be a salaried personal reduction as part of project Conway. Verified by HR. Reductions to take place in Q2 of 2021.

This time the leadership plans to keep everything hush, hush. Like the issues with Gen 14 F150, as well as the issues with the Bronco Sport. So do not expect an official announcement.

Just because a company posts "jobs" doesn't mean they are hiring. Companies make fake job postings for several reasons. H1b process... to hold a budget... or just to have fresh resumes in case someone quits. When a "job" postings has been posted for about 6 months or more.. it's fake. Besides the failure of internal communications from management to HR.

I would doubt there would be any layoffs these year. It is too soon after the successful buyout program last year. Most groups I work with are still scrambling trying to understand how the new structure works. Besides, look on Linken or on the internal job posting board. There are numerous openings. I would be more likely to believe that next year could be a potential buyout/layout year.

Ford will go the way of Strohs beer. When you forsake your birthplace and original mission to build affordable vehicles for the masses you die.

@1okl+19BsAd6C in a nutshell Project Conway is the latest jargon/slogan being used by management for how they are going to transform FMC.

It comes from an 1960’s IT adage called Conway’s Law.
“Any organization that designs a system (defined broadly) will produce a design whose structure is a copy of the organization's communication structure.”

Project Conway will flop as the company has severely deluded itself about its disfunctional communication structure. Conway’s Law will prevail and the disfunction will show up in botched product launches and botched software.

Warranty doesn't care about "CX" all they care about is looking the other way when the dealerships submit bogus warranty claims. Ford will blindly pay any warranty claim.

If you don’t know what project Conway is, you must not have an active CDSID.

@1vlj+19BsAd6C,

The Quality/Warranty spend is to Ford as the iceberg was to the Titanic. Ford has no control over the quality issues the customer experiences.

Yeah even if this is all behind the scenes you would have to live under a rock to think a layoff isn't coming. With all the reorgs, priorities, etc. even after VIPs there will be another round. This company is in one hell of a sorry state. Leadership is full on delusional and the numbers don't lie. Sales and the bottom line are all down. Walked away from sedans, even ones that were well known and liked, hell could of kept selling Fusion for another 5 years; even had a hybrid that could of kept the car going with the new regs.

Time to invest in Game Stop stock (GME) and hope for the best. Most of the "job postings" on the internet are fake. GLTA
