Heads you win Tails I lose - Glint

So I get emails and phone calls from my manager about doing the Glint survey. I lie. I know that not filling it in marks my card. But if I do fill it in. My feedback comes back to my manager and we as a team are asked what are we going to do to fix it. The scores also come back and the manager starts trying to work out who is dragging the team down and boom you're WFR'd.

So better to fill it in and be a target or better not to be and be a target? Either way I'm screwed.

Based on previous years all they're interested in is how many people responded. It then gets turned over to management who just care about where they are on a league table.

Why don't the people at the top fix the problems rather than turning it over to a management who just bully you into saying your happy (for fear of losing your job) or just get rid of you because your making the team/function/region look bad.

Mr Salvino needs to stop these league tables that create unintended consequences. He needs to take ownership of the feedback at the top. And he should ensure employees right to not provide feedback is respected.

Stop the bullying.

If this is true "asking for your feedback and then eliminating all dissenters." then I'll be gone in a heart beat. I was totally honest in my replies and to tell you what, I am 5 years away from retirement and I really don't give a sh*t.

I have 2.5 million dollars in the market, another 150 grand in case as an emergency fund, but don't want to give up my salary till more people are vaccinated for Covid and when I leave I can do something

It's not HR, it's IR, Inhuman Resources.

Remember always: HR works for the company not you. They are two-faced, asking for your feedback and then eliminating all dissenters.

Don't rock the boat and fill in an impartial Yes Yes DXC is doing well in all areas - don't want to end up early WFR or disciplined later down the line when your line manager/s and other managers found out what negative stuff you wrote about DXC. DXC want to hear.. all is well at DXC, they don't want to hear or address any issues

What pisses me off is that management is not looking at the situation honestly and critically. By forcing employees into filling the survey, they're likely going to have biased input data, which distorts the reality even further. Remember, not giving feedback is also considered feedback. Unfortunately, you cannot express this objectively in pretty graphs and fancy numbers in a excel sheet.

All that matters at DXC is shareholder value, and revenue taken in. Everything else is moot.

Didn't you hear salvino growl about the thirty percent that weren't engaged?

I suspect that might be taken as direct action sooner or later.

Not Engaged BTW means you didn't fill out the survey.

Senior management also get performance bonuses based on hitting high response rates so if you have been chased this week it's because cash is on the table... Not for you though.

I guess we shouldn't mind about telling them what is wrong though. Provided it's quality criticism it's not moaning, it's highlighting their shortfalls.
