Several of HCSC's Leadership team are young & inexperienced when it comes to C-Suite strategy. As mentioned in other strings, HCSC's board is probably running the strategy of the company. That's why the leadership team is comprised in the manner it is, control. HCSC needs to get bigger fast. So, what's next? Blue mergers like with Wellmark (IA & SD), Regence which fell apart back in the early 2000's, Anthem, PBM's (Wallgreen's) or outside Blue? Who knows but it's fun to guess.

It's all about maximizing profits and huge executive pay. They'll cut wherever else to ensure those two goals. But go ahead and drink the kool-aid that they care about the employees and your communities. It's the same BS over and over.
HCSC is a has been company. The customer service folks can NOT answer simple questions. It is pathetic 😒🙄.
They need to acquire or merger. Period. Typically those are messy and painful. One of the main goals is economy of scale. So, lots of duplicate jobs will be lost. And they need to do it like yesterday.
Agreed. It will be interesting what their next steps are to grow. They are land locked in 5 states. How do they grow??
HCSC is only as good as it’s brand. Agreed that the “Leadership” are just puppets. What is the last big thing HCSC has really done as a company? Montana? New Mexico? Oklahoma? They just play in two big markets.
