I took a look at the org charts for Permian and it shows the former CXO employees. Just looking at Accounting wowowowow so many supervisors many with 1 or 2 employees. That’s just crazy!

Span of control is two people ... You don’t really think the supervisors are good enough to manage three people and effectively micromanage do you ...
Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated. Value will be destroyed. Your culture will be cancelled. We are all doomed.
Supes with 1 or 2 reports? Isn't that the Conoco way? They'll fit in quite nicely.
I’m sure there will also be people with value that leave ASAP or have already put in notice. Minor league talent with Permian knowledge is way more desirable in this environment than a Masters from Imperial and a string of failed projects across the globe.
And whatever you do, practice your PowerPoint skills!
@1gda+1991Wzxf don't worry you all will figure out what it's like to go from being good players on AAA team to playing in the big leagues. Those of you who actually have talent will be fine. Those of you who think being better than most of the minor league types is good enough won't last long.
a mom and pop that had a lot better return for shareholders over the last decade than COP ever thought about.
Concho was operated like a mom/pop shop from a corporate perspective. Most employees were in the field.
I heard Concho HR only had 4 levels for staff to be promoted to and once you had been there long enough and topped out in the existing levels they made people "supervisors" to promote them. Lots of supervisor titles but most likely a lot of them would be considered team leads at CoP and not supervisors or managers.
This is the pre-combination org chart. Streamlining will take effect in a couple of weeks and things will look different.
I’d put money on that picture looking a bit different in 4 weeks
