National General has a large life and health and life insurance footprint. Now that Allstate Life is sold will that portion of National General now not being used? After Allstate Life is laid off does National General and their employees become the new Allstate Life? Is Allstate laying off their own Life department just to replace it with new National General life employees? Interested to see how this all works considering Allstate paid for the National General Life and Health as well.

I foresee lots more layoffs in the near future . And I’m guessing the sale of Allstate Financial Services (broker/dealer) can’t be too far behind. It’s yet another sad day for the Allstate legacy.
National General has accident & health. Accident insurance is not the same as life insurance.
OP is correct. NatGen also has a big health and life business. Allstate bought the entire company. You can find details about their life, health, and accident insurances at the bottom of their home page.
Nat gen is P & C and health. In the statement in news articles allstate wants to focus on P& C.
