The typical September layoff Went down in many parts. sE’s confirmed in EMEA. I don’t know if the classic end of January will Happen especially on engineering emc side .Those folks should hear something soon. Take a package if you been around 20 years and have cash or stock options. They may make your. March bonus and vesting March shares payout end of January. Then a week for every year plus some nominal weeks …. It review what you get and find another gig - you’ll have plenty of time and find it’s much more fun out of Dell - emc was great.

If the last round of layoffs happened in September, then wouldn’t the upcoming round be in early March?

I did not hear anything official about any layoffs at Dell Technologies for Today, 01.29.2021. VMWare did announce Layoffs this week, Since we are Work from Home now, it’s not like we would witness others being “White Boxed”. If you got laid off, what area did You work in? Same question you be asked of those who say “I heard”, because that is “Hearsay”, with nothing to back it up. Get the facts before posting.

You know it's going to happen right B4 Fy21 close. Don't panic. Life goes on after Dell. I went in Sep and am OK. Just wish COVID didn't hamper travel etc. or seeing my family :-( and please be kind. These "BS and rumor" comments are hurtful to those that are afraid of losing their jobs. Me Mum would have slapped me if I spoke that way.
The best to all and good luck!

Sorry for those getting laid off, there are way better jobs out there so don't despair.

Any idea how many total this time around and what areas (states)?

I'm very sorry if you lost your job or anyone for that matter. Please elaborate if you can stay somewhat anonymous.

I was blindsided in Sept, but landed on my feet just as the severance was almost gone. Considering returning to Dell once things settle, hence why I'm here. I just recently started to grasp how underpaid most of us are or were though...

Hopkinton got hit last week/this week. I don't know the number or how wide but, I do know that there are several I have worked with now and in the past are out the door this week.
