My leader let us know earlier tonight that Allstate Life is being sold and our area is getting our notice tomorrow morning. He believes 60 days. Extending our health benefits several months and we pay our portion after Allstate deductions but no severance. Guess there is always unemployment. Kind of relieved to be honest. It has gotten unbearable around here.

Not much of consolidation, but now you know, you have time to prepare and you will get severance. As bad as getting laid off is, those items are good departing benefits.

I work for ALR and just received word of my layoff notice that will happen the third quarter of 2021. We will get a severance package of 2 weeks for every year that we've worked at Allstate along with Cobra benefits and paid for accrued PTO

Yup. All areas except for ALR agency service getting our notices in the AM.
