We are about 60% through Shapiro's Liberty Mutual plan that almost destroyed that company. Started with continuous improvement scam over a period of a few years, slow budget cutting towards employee incentives, recognition, and overall morale, and now the mass layoffs and restructuring. Next will be the continued cross training of all areas and overworking employees with new expanded roles in which employees do 2 to three times the amount if work for the same pay and less staff. The extra millions were then divided up amongst Shapiro and Liberty Mutual brass and then Glenn moved on with his millions. Liberty Mutual has been able to, for the most part, correct and reverse Shapiro's damage. However for Allstate it will be so much worse....
One thing Allstate has is a deep India base. Liberty Mutual did not have as strong of a India presence as Allstate. This is where Shapiro's plan in unlike the other three companies that he partially ruined. With the more work for less underway where that was pretty much the end for Glenn's plan prior with Allstate he can now move many parts if the operation to India for even less pay. Something he was limited with at Liberty Mutual. We see this with the large roll out of most claims functions to India in the next 12 month. Service has been slowly rolled to India over the last 5 years but that too will increase as well. Tech has already pretty much completed their move overseas some time ago. All this helps support the more direct move and eventual elimination of agents. Expect with this new phase of Shapiro's butchery of Allstate for more mass layoffs over the next few years until the final movement of all pieces that are to be moved to India is complete around end of 2023 start of 2024 if not sooner.
