I may be a buyer WHEN (not if) is drops back to $5.

Any/all good news is priced in and what did that get you - a buck or so into the 11s. So much lost opportunity if you are a shareholder.

For example, I bought Tesla in early Sept at $473 - hoping to get a few gains buying in near the top (or so I thought) - closed at $883 today. You can keep your dividend (is it back yet?) and your tiny gains with this company. It really hasn't moved much in the last 15 years or so?

@2dte Well, I'm no finance guy, but let me give this a shot........we have numerous launch problems. We have numerous recalls. We have quality/warranty issues. We have changed direction many times in the last 15 years (Buy volvo, astin martin, jaguar. Sell volvo, astin martin, jaguar at huge losses), blow kisses and flirt with BMW, shut down Mercury, get in the golf cart business (Th!nk), get out of the golf cart business. I've been told (by finance guys) that our debt and the service on that debt is crippling. Stock ownership does not guarantee you an equal vote because of the family stock class. Dividends are nonexistent. They cant even get a shlep-rock to take the CIO job (I think that's as funny as it gets).

Now, if you are joe-blow-investor, are you going to plunk down any money on F stock? How about a mutual fund manager.... is he going to throw money at us?

Hey, I'm all for looking at the world as a glass half full, but there comes a point where even the optimist would say "Nah, I'm not buying that song and dance anymore". Jimmy hasnt screwed anything up yet (I dont think), but I still dont see us getting north of 15-16 bucks.

@1cce, we are deep sh** because of the negativity of employees like you... Whydo you people stick around if you do not believe in the company? Go work for a Chinese Automaker you ungrateful sh**head... What makes you such an expert on the Ford's finance and the stock price? You seem pretty ignorant.

If you were worth anything, you would provide analysis to support your position instead of trash talk...Obviously, you do not know anything.

Check back on February 5th, after earnings. Unless they pull some big smoke and mirrors out of Ford Credit or some asset that has increased in value they can claim as revenue, we will be hearing "forget 2020, look forward to 2021." And we will be lucky if the stock is above $5.

I'm not sure what company the Pollyanna comment works in, but I am seeing and hearing the same old Ford garbage in meetings regarding all our issues. In public meetings leadership are chirping all the 'right things to say'. In smaller forums its the same old thing "things are being overblown", "it's only a couple loudmouth disgruntled people on social media", "media loves us and we are getting so much positive press it does not matter". Ridiculous. The only people buying the c-ap internal PR are the new kids who don't have the experience yet to see through it. Not to worry though, in 8 months they will see the light. We all have walked this road before. Don't forget, Farley has been with Ford for over 10 years, so only now he is going to pull out some magic he's been hiding all this time.

Debt quality and Vehicle reliability will keep the stock price low. I think Ford is only one of two car company's with junk debt rating.

Vehicle reliability and warranty costs will remain uncompetitive with all the on-site mods. It is really difficult to do good design to address failures as you are really constrained.

Let’s see the stock price when earnings reported reflecting our poor launch of Bronco, Mach-E, and F-150. We don’t make money building them and shipping them to be repaired off-site. Have a $610 million bill due on airbags as well. Overweight in my opinion. I wouldn’t buy any Ford launch vehicle. Hey, I only build them and not responsible for the “all is well” fluff from Dearborn. Sorry if you Corp guys are a little b*tt hurt with the truth.

I asked the question, and it is a serious one. For the first time in a long time, I am seeing management make decisions and follow through. Not only are they being decisive, the new products are fantastic, the stock was upgraded recently, but they had the courage to shut down manufacturing in Brazil. SA had been losing money every since I can remember, and nothing was done about it for many many years. Now Ford China is looking better, Europe will hopefully be profitable soon.

Also noticed none of the company officers have sold any of their shares since August. Maybe there is something in the works that can rally the stock... And maybe not... I am sure it will get to $15 as soon as Morgan Stanley upgrades it, but what would drive it higher? Perhaps a JV with Apple similar to what GM did with Microsoft...

Too. MUCH. Debt. Ford lets the UAW walk all over the company. Invest in Ford? Good Luck.

Ford has bet wisely. Ford Bronco is the most talked about car of the year.

They went and spent all the political capital possible and used the Mustang brand so the EV launch will succeed. And may hurt the Mustang brand but it had guaranteed the EV launch is a success.

The Bronco sport selling well so far, and the Ford ain’t providing discounts yet. Which means they are have a good profit margin on the vehicle.

And this is the year of the next generation pickup truck.

There problems are delays and early quality issues for new products.

The credit belongs to the smart marketing of their vehicles. Five years of anticipation for the Bronco.

But please, do something about the Ecosport.

No. It will never be that high again. Ford is a “has been” coming and will go the way of Sears and many other once successful companies. Times and technology have changed and Ford failed to set itself up for the future. Take a look at this history of the stock prices. Say you hired in Ford in the 70’s then retired in 2000, you did pretty well.
