Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

For the past employees who were unfairly PIPd in 2020, how long did it take to receive your vacation lump sum after your final day on payroll?

First off payroll does NOT do it automatically. The admin is responsible for turning it in to payroll. Once payroll receives it it will be entered processed. I retired effective 11/1/2020, my admin turned in the vacation pay to payroll before I left. Once I came off the books payroll processed it and I was paid 11/15/2020. If you have not gotten then there is an issuer somewhere. Example: admin did not turn it in, was the smart firm not processed to remove from the books, did payroll not enter it. If you had a good relationship with the admin then I suggest starting there and see if they assist.

is this only for employees that were "unfairly Pip'd" or can employees who were "fairly pip'd" respond as well?

What was done to PiP’d employees was unprofessional & sickening. A lot of managers could not be trusted to be fair in the ranking process. Leaders should have been pip’d to expose the poor leaders before they were trusted to pip others.

Payroll does this automatically.

Sending your supervisor a letter? Please... Do you think they're putting the stamps on those things.

HR / Payroll is a machine, and it gets paid out 2-4wks AFTER your last day on payroll. Whether you email HR or not.

@OP - I received mine at the end of November, but I agree that you have to keep chasing HR (through your former Admin and supervisor). You must ask for a statement (you won’t get one automatically) and confirm with payroll that they used the correct number of hours. It will still probably amount to less money than you were expecting (it did for me).

@jis - why don’t you just eff off ?

I wouldn't say all that were placed on PIP were done so unfairly...

Mine, within 10 days after last pay. However, I emailed HR and made sure they paid it. Ask for statement as well. It was a big chunk of money for me! Others who did not ask HR did not receive it immediately.
