Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

Idolize the oppressor?

from another post

I left in March on my own , right after the AIP had cleared my back account , no notice, just resigned. With what I have followed on this forum, I would have been clipped soon after my most excellent exodus. No regrets here..
I think what you are describing could be considered Stockholm Syndrome , where one will idolize the oppressor, or perhaps one accepts of even enjoy the decline of Anthem , and not put themselves in a better situation.
I would liken such with that scene in Hellraiser , where newly minted Cenobite, Dr Chennard emerges from the phone booth to survey the Leviathan Obelisk (Anthem) only to utter "..AND to think, I HESITATED.

Im sorry to hear that you both felt pretty much abused there. I know that feeling from other jobs. I don’t doubt you for a second. None of us will ever get master leadership to change. Too many of them and we are expendable. I really like my boss/team and that is really a make or break for me. But as a company, anthem is ultra cheap with their benefits for the cost, awful leadership, uncaring, cruel, and 100% typical corp america.

This is exactly why I quit my position this month. Wish I had it in me to stay until AIP but the company does nothing to ensure their employees are in well mental states, there were some days i would be talk down on my members and superiors. We were promised breaks in between calls would be fine for mental breaks but adherence was so strict
