Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Go east

It means something but I can't figure it out. Why does hertz have one way rates from the west coast for $10 a day to east. Eh SFO to Orlando.

All supply and demand. Cars are just in the wrong place. Cheaper to have customers move the cars than pay a shipping company.

I have been in the RACE business for most of my life and yes I know that cheap one ways are a way to balance the fleet but they are moving cars West to east.in the past it has been North to South or reverse.depending on the time of year.also Hertz is the only company with this offer.somethings up

I was with Hertz 35 years
They have done this a lot..
Resale of used cars are way better in the Northern 🇺🇸
And renting them cheap one way is way less than a car hauler transporting them

Because one way rentals tend to flow from one coast to the other, and why not get customers to do the free labor? It isn't hard to figure out with a modicum of critical thinking.
