It’s not clear to me how we got to the point where this company (left behind somewhere in the past) knows nothing but to give layoffs and do failed acquisitions. Literally just that. In my opinion, such a company has no future, but I hope I am wrong. It's as if they no longer have any vision. Maybe they just need a little more willpower.

Qwest was the downfall. Prior to that we were a chipper get it done company. When Centurylink acquired Qwest they kept the inept management who brought with them antiquated systems and management methods. Bell standards turned simple tasks into a bureaucratic nightmare with entire departments doing busy work while refusing to perform any ridiculous task where the submitter may not have dotted an i or crossed a t, customer be darned unless they escalated high enough, at which point the employee who forgot to dot an i is reprimanded and blamed rather than the mgmt who created the broken process.
So very true! They are all yes men and are not worthy at all! How can a company succeed when management and the executives do not tell you their intentions? It’s impossible to steer a ship in the right direction when you have no destination! They are so disconnected in error! That sums up management and the Executives at that company!
They have no vision and management has no idea how to manage. They are nothing but yes men and women who know full well the ship is sinking. One knows not what the other is doing.
Just keep working a little, keep the money flowing in... the layoff call will come soon enough.
Nacchio started it with huge debt from his false representations of Debt from Qwest's merger and then falsely claiming income and contracts. Then add loss of Landlines, then merging and merging some more pushing refinanced debt each time while adding more. Notebart stabilized some of the bleeding but the ball had already started rolling, he seen a way out, left to Motorola and his Golden Parachute, Mueller sold out to Centurytel for another Parachute and a Board position. Post didn't know the animal he was buying was a man eater, we seen that he was way in over his head concerning what it takes to run a RBOC instead of a Rural phone Company. Enter the predators of L3 and Storey and thats where we are at.
