Pay stagnates, expectations rise

I understand that the situation in every company is challenging, but it still seems to me that I work a lot more than they pay me.

I can’t even complain too much when I know how many people don’t have any job at all, but expectations from workers (at least in my case) are rising, but everything else is stagnating.

I spent many years at this company, and if I were just a little younger, I would try my best to find another job.

Do not quit your job for these mo–ns! Let them push you out the door and collect every dime from these weasels. Collect unemployment and take a year off to figure out your next steps. Play like they play and make em pay! Worthless company with no morals or integrity! See ya Centurystink and you enjoy that sad place! Your reputation proceeds you!

I received a grand total of 6% in pay raises in almost 9 years. When I left for another company my salary increased by 40%! Yes, you read the right 40%! Take your time, search out opportunities and you will find one. The only thing I regret is that I stay as long as I did.

RE: "NO! Don't quit. Absolutely right. It may be painful to endure the toxic environment but if they terminate you at least you can get unemployment, and possibly a severance of some kind, you quit you get nothing. And as far as your reputation, they wouldn't cast aspersions on you as they would face a potential lawsuit, which they don't want to mess with and with the reputation of this place getting out there may be at least some understanding in the job market. Just saying.

I really enjoyed hearing management say that layoffs were created by the pandemic when all along they had their own agenda. Let’s go ahead and lay people off to pay for the rebranding costs and blame it on a virus. This company is the most opportunistic, reckless company I’ve ever had the displeasure to work for. Shame on me for believing In their vision and direction as they clearly don’t have one! What a joke and Karma will follow!

Why I won't go into a management position, expectation is 60 hours a week, many working over 80, if you don't your evaluations are lower since you cannot do the work load without putting in that time. Now the other aspects, stress, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety all start to surface, have known several that have went out on medical leaves and then left the company and or retired due to health concerns.

Thats Lumen no matter what company brought you into the situation.

Sounds like Enterprise Repair with Lord Noble, bad ticketing system, hapless processes, and suffering customers.

Sounds like you need to slow down then

I see it too. No raises in several years and a ticketing system that's hard to use and always runs slow and fails periodically. As soon as we figure out how to meet the metrics they laid out last year they add new ones. The end result of adding new metrics, no raises, and systems that are difficult to use is fewer technicians to do the work and a "just meet the metrics and no more" attitude. I feel sorry for our customers, ultimately they will suffer as much if not more.

What a dynamic, diversified pile of cow dung this company is and the leaders are beyond human! Karma will get em in the long run though! There is a 0 % chance of a career here! Run , don’t walk!
