Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

More Fat

I hope Cenovus leadership is privy to the study Husky commissioned by HRG (High Reliability Group) a few years ago. They identified many structural problems within Husky, a few recommendations were carried out by Husky but many more went ignored.
It would provide a fast track for Cenovus into the inner workings of Husky.

Husky managers and SVPs were some of the most ignorant, incompetent people I have ever met. Whenever they were told something was wrong they would ignore it. Especially if someone was wasting $10MM

I agree. HRG was just used as an excuse to do what they planned on doing anyways. They wanted to centralize management and engineering in Calgary. Truth be told most management consultants get the same flack. Management knows what they are going to do and they cherry-pick "recommendations" that match what they were going to do in the first place. When things collapse, like know, they point the finger at the consultants.

HRG Was a waste of money and they provided very little coaching to manager's and sr. supervisors. Plus they didn't care anyway. And when HRG guys went away, everyone went back to their daily business at what they did best. Husky employees aren't Submarine Captains and work 1km below the ocean. They were the wrong fit for the intent. Nothing gained but a bunch of extra useless paper work.
