Way too top heavy. Had a chance with the Asia-PAC merger, but blew it. Simply rebadged a few of the cronies to have AP titles but made no synergies or reduction in the 5 layers of overhead management who mostly got there by luck and no IT experience that needs taking out to be competitive and investment in delivery capabilities to be credible. Hopefully the “window dressing” that has been underway for the sell off and the “keep smiling happy face” campaign has worked. Atos here we come. Please clean out this dead wood and don’t let them pull the will over your eyes. Cull quickly please before collateral damage of the little folks, as They will be focused on their exec survival bonus right now - customers pfff
Why Sal extended the reign of terror to Asia is a mystery. Seems like hitting the dollars is more important to Sal than building a sustainable business. No capacity and limited capability in the system, so lots of work contracted out and huge top heavy overheads. The MD has 30 odd direct reports which tells you that this isn't led by someone who knows how to run a business, just an overblown sales manager. Usual Lawrie stuff this year - inflated targets, set part way through the year. Some even have targets that are opaque. On a plus note, thanks to COVID he hasn't been able to walk around the office asking people what they've sold or why aren't they out selling.
No surprise there. He's definitely a Lawrie Mini-Me trying desperately to pretend he cares about clients and staff to look good to Salvino. He never cared about them under Lawrie, a leopard can't change its spots. Ask any of his exec, they all say it in private.
Sal needs to take a closer look and not just accept what he's told.
