Just got fedex notification of a shipment from Allstate.
Could it be something to do with severance?? I already got the lovely letter asking me to pay them $60 for my loan weeks ago.

If you still owe on the loan it could be a certified document withholding severance until that is paid. I know if two people who received such notifications. You would think that they would just deduct the small amount from the severance or better yet just eat those loans considering this ridiculous mess.
I already got my box to return my equipment & picked up my belongings myself...
This has been so crazy
I was let go months ago but the FedEx shipment that I was notified for was my empty box to ship back my equipment. The "box" I received however was a box pieced together from two different boxes to make it bigger but it is way too flimsy to ship and I have not yet shipped back my equipment and won't until they send suitable shipping supplies. I already got my severance long ago so they can eat it.
It also could be whatever you had in the office being shipped back from your desk and cabinets.
Doubt the notification is for the severance itself. It went directly into our bank accounts 50 days after our last date although it could be that. The company has been very inconsistent in the handling, timung, and method of pay for severance.
