Same here. It was taxed at 36% even though my federal exemptions are at 6 and I turned 401k contributions off. Wtf.

I hope you folks get your money on 12/24 As they said. That is a tad ahead of the timeframe average I have seen. We got ours in 35 days on Thanksgiving. Severance deposited on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. These sickos at Allstate must love trying to remind us of being laid off on holidays like we should feel blessed to be receiving our severance for these needless layoffs.

Would be nice if this post was correct. No severance and you can’t get unemployment but you have to pay for Cobra benefits, pay bills and buy Christmas gifts.

Pretty sure it doesn’t automatically mean that it’ll apply to all of us. When I called yesterday, the AskHR rep said it is all random and that some are getting it in 2 weeks while others are waiting the full 60 days. And then someone replied to my post saying they’re in HR and that’s correct. For the rest of the folks reading, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. But I’m hoping that I’m wrong!
