Oh and by the way doesn't matter if all they make you do is show up due to FELA as soon as you step foot on property all liability falls on company you could break an ankle in parking lot due to a rock or uneven asphalt make them pay they don't care about anything but money

If I was furloughed today and was told I could work till the 29th, I’d spend two or three days robing them blind then after I got what I wanted I would have a slip trip and fall. Good luck to all the brothers and sisters that have been cut this pass few years. I was lucky to retire but who knows how long the money in RR retirement will last.

If you were furloughed today or on 12-29, and you have 20 years of service or at least 10 years and age 60 explore the possibility of occupational disability with the RRB to see if you qualify. Do not work while you are furloughed and then look into it. Look into it now to understand your benefits.

That means you have until December 29 th to go out on medical..
Two weeks is enough time to get it done.

Most likely those effected will not be allowed to do any actual work, just come in and sit in a chair for 8 hours and go home after for two weeks.

How dare you ask this? They did it out of the kindness of their hearts, to make sure you didnt go waste a bunch of money on Christmas presents.

So that they don’t have any issues that the sorry managers have to deal with during peak season.
