The best way to avoid any work gulag is nurture the skills that are valuable outside the gulag. And if Intel dumps you or you have to leave because you can’t stand it any longer, find something better — your post-Intel success is the best revenge!

Check out any the other Layoff.com sites. Particularly at Intel competitors Nvidia or AMD. I doubt that they approach the level of vitriol as this site. Could it be that the way those companies are run don't foster resentment in their employees? Strangely enough, they don't have to bang the drum of Diversity and Inclusion to distract the employees from a stagnant stock, sh*t pay, and diminishing technology leadership. They also don't open huge worksites in the boonies so captive employees can't easily switch employers. Hillsboro, Folsom, etc. Ironically, Intel turned led the historic prison town of Folsom into an even bigger Gulag for tech workers.

@2ntg+18psZmS7 : I noticed the same thing. If you mention anything even slightly positive about Intel or one of its products .. boom, down arrow, Add to that a continual mix of resentment and ill will. Glad I bumped into the site as it got me back in touch with industry trends, but the nastiness is its own eye opener as well.

"I get that things aren't pretty right now but you some of you are pretty hateful people, and not talking about exclusively about this thread."

That's what happens after you do time in the soul-crushing Intel Gulag. After a while you just start parroting their propaganda to just survive. #MooresLawNotDead #DiversityAndInclusion #FourLegsGoodTwoLegsBad #ImInHel

If any poor soul is still laboring under the delusion that Intel is some kind of industry leader, maybe this will open your eyes. It’s not 1995, 2005, or even 2015 anymore. Even bigger changes than this will be required for Intel to recapture its crown.

I will take a package too, I would never admit knowing TMG engineers outside of work in a public setting, and have been 100% faking happiness for years.

Imagine what will happen to Hillsboro and surrounding areas if this is true. Wow

As an Intel engineer, and more importantly shareholder, I'm praying this proves to be true. This is the only way this company can survive.

I have to imagine all those RA cranes in Hillsboro will start to disappear off the 'skyline'. Sigh, life and the world of technology move on.
