Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Re-re-org. Any meaningfull change?

As they re-org the re-org, which was unveiled little more than a year ago; are you seen any actual change?
Will the number of fat cats at VP and upper manager level decrease?
Will the queen bees in advisory and planning roles will finally do actual work?
Will the ambitious but worthless supervisors be stopped before they do actual damage?

Any report or observation that changes aren't just cosmetic?

No managers or executives have been axed in UIS, despite subsurface took a disproportionate hit.

If you analyse all the re-org.. the management is never affected.. it’s now a snowball of years of such employees that had to be booted to save this company.. all these studies always ended up saying what we like to hear.. which is status co is perfect!

We finally hit a point of no return.. While I’m drawing my wage.. I’m using the time to prepare for an escape!

We are proactively having a zoom meeting in 15 min. To discuss how we can streamline Pre-meetings, this is phenomena of the working from home. We need Pre-meetings to align our objectives and ensure the fog isn’t barking and all users know how to mute.

Nothing will change here. I will just ride this donkey as long as possible, do as little as possible, and tell management exactly what they want to hear (how tough time out there is for everyone including mighty XOM but we will be ok since we are smart or the smartest), so they keep me until I find something better.

Need to eliminate process and eliminate meeting premeetings. Flattening org will help with pre pre pre meetings but ultimately need to eliminate processes to get competitive.
