Recruiting has not stopped and the internship program is happening just in a smaller class.
are you implying forcing (under penalty of PIP and layoff) employees to disease themselves by returning to campus during a devastating pandemic is a sign of inept and psychopathic supervision?

Why would anyone want a career with this corrupt company anyway? The way management has handled the pandemic just goes to show how horribly inept and stupid our leaders are.
If posters on this forum are actually EM employees, this is irrefutable evidence that EM does NOT hire the best and brightest.
Do PIPs every year (bottom 10%)...This is badly needed especially at the CL 24 to 26 level. But at CL 27 and higher PIPs should only be bottom 1%. Then adjust salary curves so the bottom 10% get nothing, eventually they quit.
@nqo+18oYpuZn Have we been working at the same company? For years the line has been we throttle with contractors and you can expect to retire from EM because we hire the best and the brightest and manage them well. The message has definitely changed.
He did not say “we don’t layoff”. He said that there are currently no plans for layoffs. I hope you are able to tell the difference.

Based on what I heard, this recruiting tag line is being adjusted (at least for EMIT). It really doesnt matter for recruiting since it wont be happing for the next 1-2 years. Believe the internship program is also cancelled for the next 2 years (EMIT).
Job is like a marriage. If you get too fat, your hubby starts checking out the neighbors. Nothing is till death do us apart. So shape up instead of being a free loader for life.
Job for life has been gone for years. But, since none of you want to work for EM anymore, why does it matter?
They’ve always hired for the long term, but not everyone survives. It’s just that many have been “surviving” for way too long than they should have been for the last decade or more.
