So where is the CWA at in all this in the year of the Pandemic? There are so many questions about the sale of Directv! We as employees are people too and there are no reps around to give Directv employees advice or a step in the right direction about what we are supposed to do if we are sold?Their is no steward that I can talk to about this because they on on leave or was let go of union responsibilities because of too many at their location, no stewards in my shop and that should be a grievance at that! Why doesn’t CWA reach out and let Directv people know what is our rights and help us fight this battle?

Weakest union i ever seen renew a contract to line their own pockets no wonder att likes keeping them around 2 heads on the same snake
Most union members don't know who there union rep is. In fact, quite a few aren't aware they pay dues - Union is worthless when it comes to protecting employees and the company runs over them
"...newsflash - union is on it ..."
You're giving them far too much credit. They have no seat that that table.
newsflash - union is on it and they are corrupt. they don't care about the employees
Chances are if you are a DTV Tech, you will be sold with the company. The union has no protections for you. You can look to find another job you are qualified for. RIght now looks like it will be late next spring, or summer before anything happens to DTV.
If you are installing satellite broadcast television or DSL internet... your union can't save you. You have to find something else. The company has 300 fiber plant tech jobs open at the moment if you want to stick around!
Chuckling... the just want your money.
in exchange 4 Zero representation...sounds at&tsh
I am non-bargained for, been around a while and managed plenty of bargained for over the years.
I am sitting here perplexed as to what it is you could possibly think the Union could possibly do for you with regard to this situation. They have no say in the companies business decisions. They have no idea what may or may not happen, just as you don't.
There are three times when you will hear from The union- 1- when they sign you up to be a paying member, 2- when they’re running for office and need your vote and 3-during contract negotiations-
The only time they should hear from you - by February 14, by sending a certified letter to Payroll asking them to stop union dues from being deducted.
