I thought a WARN notice had to be filed with the state 60 days prior to the layoff event. So basically XOM did it back-asswards as usual. Laid off people THEN filed the notification. Typical.

Does everyone need to reiterate what is common sense just to post something? People were asking numbers.

Duh, this is the effective date of the recent layoffs, not new ones. Although there will be more later in the year.

Most contractors are gone by Feb 12th or somewhere around that date.
Some might get an extension but will need a super solid reason.

Employee layoff happening in March.

More layoffs are inevitable if the oil price don't pick up. Whether it is done by PIPing or by announcement matters little. What matters is how much compensation is given and what to do next.

This is part of the layoffs that we just had. Next years layoff will be silent similar to the one we had in July this year. Buckle up or jump ship.

Keep in mind that the 15% is Full-time employees. That many more Full-time contractors.

The layoffs next year won’t be public. Will be performance based
