Maybe the GRINCH is turning over a new leaf. 401k match mail just came saying it will be active and paid in JAN2021

The original poster said nothing of being owed a livelihood. There is no entitlement, the 401(k) match is earned. Nobody can put it past the people that run Honeywell to attempt another round of taking away earned benefits. It's a Honeywell staple behavior by the "leadership". I'm surprised that the greedy fools haven't added another behavior called "Many Faces". It would be all about how you tell the employees how great they are while bending them over the barrel.

None heard so far. Stop the fear mongering as its neither informative nor helping except giving readers anxiety on something beyond our control. This is a job and that monthly paycheck is the only assurance that we still have that job if only for the month we were paid. Treat it like the company does not owe you a livelihood and you’ll be alright.

Didn't someone write a book on it? "No Company for Old Men?". It is always open season on older engineers. It's what they do.

I’m sure they would love to sell at these inflated prices. Seems a long shot. Further RIF at least in aero engineering would be very targeted and more about skill change than census reduction.
Not impossible if you are in areas that are no longer needed.

That would be too blatantly done to avoid the payout. Almost assures lawsuits will be filed.

My money is still on honeywell aero being sold, and they are keeping just enough people on to look like they have a valuable talent pool to support the existing product lines to sunset, and to be able to certify 1970's APUs on new aircraft.
