Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

GP was it an even split between exEMRE Projects and EMDC

From those that I know and heard from it seems the layoffs affected more EMDC employees than their EMRE counter parts.

Could this be because of the pay scale disparity? We know EMDC and upstream in general has a higher scale. I believe EMRE also started using Bangalore earlier then EMDC and was a leaner organization.

EMRE projects was tiny compared to EMDC, so no it would not have been an even split

Did you read what I read? @OP litterally said that in the title. He was talking heritage organization roles being impacted.

Isn't the world unfair.. haha.. when they merged all the key leadership positions were eaten up by EMDC ppl.. poor EMRE projects ppl

Imagine being poorly paid and being bossed around. Your boss could be 5 years younger just because they were from EMDC

And yes EMDC was more affected..

You didn’t read the question. EMDC and EMRE projects don’t exist but the pay scale alignment is the question?

If 70% is company fit and a black hole I’d guess they looked at pay scales as part of the magical equation.

If this is the case and those that joined GP from EMRE (make less $$) may have had a slight edge over those that joined from EMDC.

I do know the downstream still makes less than the upstream!

EMDC doesn't exist anymore after the value chain re-org. Anyone who's been around loner than 4 years knows this. The functional organizations are gone, so should this thread.
