If layoffs are going to happen, I'll be happy to volunteer. I've enjoyed my time here but it's time to move on. Things have been deteriorating for a year or two now and the downward trajectory doesn't seem to be changing. I don't want to get to a point where I hate my job and that might happen if I stay here. So I've started looking for a new job but if the layoff comes first, I won't be upset.

Haha, I've been wishing to be cut for a long time but it'll never come because I'm far too important. If they laid me, I would have a VERY generous severance based on years of service. Oh well, one could dream.
As unselfish as this post is, Riverbed is more selfish. They’ll never allow people to selectively leave since it doesn’t interest the leaders. They’d rather let someone blindly make cuts based on no-science like last time. If anyone would selectively cut themselves for the payout, it’s the leaders themselves.
