The worst part about working at Intel is by far the people around my department. Anything I can do to get away from those total losers is very helpful.

Only marketing peeps love "open office" with zero privacy and all the noise
Intel telecommute is great — except for the Intel part!
Yes, there was so much wasted time with politics and chit chat, also all the wasted time commuting. It’s a no brainer.
There will be a day when someone is paid to haul off the tiny cubicles
You wonder if they can pull a site consolidation over the coming months.
Who would even buy any Intel building or campus? Not many takers.
Just sell all the office buildings if Intel actually wants to save all that money
I’d like to have designated days (2-3) for local people to schedule their meetings, all concluding before 3 p so people can drive home before traffic. The other days (and evenings/mornings) can be for meetings with people far away; since these are always virtual, people wouldn’t need to be physically at the office. Of course people may have to come in on other days for physical tasks.
This one is interesting, depends if you are the political type who advances by communication, or whether you like to focus alone and build and create. I find it kind of fun when the politicians have nothing to do, you always knew they were worthless, but they are often very skilled at taking advantage of social settings.

2)Check email for 5-10 min
3)watch stock market and 401K.
- 1) Play with the kids/dogs
4)have lunch
5)Take a nap
6)Check email again
7)Check news
8)Prepare for dinner
9)watch a movie
10)Sleep
11)Repeat
Why the heck would anybody want to go back to office. This is like free money.
Sure I guess if the actual amount of work that you do every day is only several hours
Another yes vote here, no commute and more family time is great. I am surprisngly more productive too without so many interruptions from folks needing to talk to me constantly.
yes, I don't want to commute to work ever again!
