Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

How did the cuts devastate the company?

It has become unbearable to work here. Continuous stress. Everyone is tense and the atmosphere is very cold. Morality is destroyed.

We are seeing the impact of the cuts. Work is not being done. Work is not well done. Folks are not talking to each other. If you request info, no one is saying anything since they do not want to be blamed.

That’s right, @7miv+185nN2J7. I am particularly concerned that there is no exchange of information.

Per the comment below, sounds like the same company ten years ago. Once you achieve the best earnings, the pressure to stay as being the best makes things worse. That is the pressure to maintain a level above everyone else no matter what. Why I enjoyed working for a non public company. No shareholders.

I've been keeping an eye on some deliverables from afar (I used to be an employee, now I am a customer so I am still in the loop to an extent). I get a laugh when I see the delivery dates slip and errors made. It's an inconvenience to me as a customer to have errors and delays but in a way, it's worth it to see them fail on the things I made sure were perfect. Meanwhile, I am pushing my company to find a new vendor that does actual quality work. No need to work with incompetence that is only going to get worse as the layoffs roll on.
