Before anyone asks - 7 years with the company; mostly "very good" area, not in GP. A bit surprised because I thought I'd be fine at least until ranking.

Are you sure your manager had been honest with you.. maybe you are bottom and they are just being nice.. all the laid off candidates are pretty bad from what I see..
I don't have a mortgage, wife, family or debt - so I'm stressed but not as stressed compared to if I had those things. It is what it is.
How are you feeling?
