They keep setting unreasonable goals and then they keep yelling at SLs in meetings when those goals aren't met. And when I say yelling I mean uncontrolled, bordering on harassment screaming at us. How hard is it to understand that there are limited numbers of hours in any given day and that if you set unrealistic numbers they simply can't be hit?

Don’t worry the Sales Leader role has transformed. You can only control the actions not the outcome. Now you have less peers to even support all the agents. Those goals will have to change in a new model. Until they open up the underwriting guides your handcuffed. They don’t need you to consult agents anymore just babysit. Have a good story to bs the leaders and never make an excuse. You can’t do it all and your not paid enough to do it all but you can bs them. Fight back! They are just scared to lose their shirts as much as you are. Agents also don’t get a lot of value from Sales Leaders like they use to because of all the changes. Keep the faith.
They also need to sell the broker dealer because we are not a retirement/advisory company. Those products are not helping the agents be more successful. They hold them back and most cheat/ write controlled VULs just to keep licenses. Every year agents are fired for this. The life/retirement/annuity barley moves any widgets compared to any other financial services organization in the industry. Most agents barley do the minimum for life insurance. Look up Allstate Financial on broker check and look at how many disclosures/complaints we have. It’s embarrassing.
Advocate for national general products to be able to be sold through EAs. This could help agents to actually grow. Advocate for real partnerships. State Farm is now partnering with Quicken Loans. What is Allstate doing?
Also most of the most toxic TSLs, SDLs, and RSLs have been eliminated/terminated. Most of these guys don’t even have a clue about selling life and retirement products either let alone know anything about advisor pro and the current competitive position and market place . They just push numbers and bully. Most don’t even have policies at Allstate let alone do their investments with our EFS’s and agents. Remember to have your resume ready and keep your network strong.
It’s embarrassing and I’m sure more transformation is coming! Stay strong! Fight back!
why are you on here? Do you still have a job?
