Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Waiting for the next layoff-looking over my shoulders

I was kept but I’m nervous to think in the next year or so I’ll be gone. I work with agents but they’re scared about their fate with the company. If the agents get cut then I’m gone. Noted any job can and will lay you off but this is scary times during a pandemic.

Start saving and start looking! I was RIF'd and wait until next year to start looking again.

ABO stands for Agency Business Objectives. Basically it’s a bottom line number of line 10 auto items the agency must produce each month. If they fail to meet ABO they are put on requires improvement, then needs immediate improvement then they get the letter... and they are gone. To be honest, the ABO for many agents is quite small. I know a number of agents whose number is 6 items a month, and they still fail to produce that number month over month.
